Michael Crawford or Michael John Crawford

Not sure if it is the right Michael Crawford or Michael John Crawford? This one is located in Fairfax, VA and Paris, France. He attended George Mason University.
He resides in France for extended visits where it is believed he lives relatives. One has to wonder why he chooses to leave the country and if he is permanently living there now? Is it safer for him?
